Independence & Financial Products

Montgo Consulting Ltd is an Independent Financial Adviser. An IFA not only can advise on all companies and their products, but has a duty to recommend the most suitable products for their clients. Further an IFA represents their clients rather than any insurance company or investment company, unlike the company sales representative. This subtle distinction means that an IFA is able to assess companies and products objectively without the bias inevitable from company sales representatives or marketing departments.

A further benefit of independence is that IFAs can recommend non commission paying products or companies; with fee charging IFAs being the least open to bias here. Company representatives or multi tied advisers in contrast are usually only paid by selling their companies' products or a limited panel of products and do not normally conduct fee based work. They are typically unable to review a portfolio of policies and investments from several providers.
